Career
Jeremy is a partner in Ogier's Dispute Resolution team advising on Cayman law and BVI law issues. He advises financial institutions, stakeholders and office-holders in relation to litigation and contentious insolvency, with a focus on fund disputes. Jeremy specialises in contentious and non-contentious corporate restructuring and insolvency proceedings, asset tracing and recovery, enforcement of judgment and debt obligations, commercial litigation and fund claims involving fraud and breaches of statutory, fiduciary and common law duties.
Jeremy joined Ogier in 2020 when he returned to London after eight years in the Cayman Islands with another offshore Dispute Resolution team, having first trained and worked in the Restructuring and Insolvency teams of top London firms. Jeremy's practice is focussed on providing litigation, restructuring and insolvency assistance to Ogier's European-based clients with interests in Caribbean incorporated entities.
During his time in the Cayman Islands, Jeremy regularly advised and represented clients at the Grand Court, through to the Court of Appeal and at the Privy Council in London and worked on a substantial fraud case in the BVI where he was admitted with extended rights of audience to the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court. He was commended in Chambers & Partners in 2019 for being "good both in court and on paper" and again in Chambers and Partners 2020.
