John has argued nine cases before the U.S. Supreme Court and appeared before most of federal courts of appeals. He has successfully argued cases across a broad cross-section of subjects, with particular experience in environmental law, the False Claims Act, administrative law, government contracting, and federal criminal law. He has won mandamus three times. A published academic study identified him as one of “the most successful petitioning attorneys” before the Supreme Court in recent years.
