John is a partner in the Singapore office specialising in shipping, energy and international trade. He advises clients on Charterparties, bills of lading, hedging transactions, FFAs and shipping derivatives. In addition, he advises on the negotiation and drafting of construction and asset employment contracts relating to oil and gas services and associated disputes. He also advises on contracts and disputes in relation to, the trade of oil, bulk cargoes (including coal and iron ore) and LME metals. He has particular experience drafting and advising on disputes in relation to contracts for port services.
John is a Director of the Singapore Chamber of Maritime Arbitration and a Committee Member of the Maritime Law Association of Singapore. John has also served on the Advisory Board to the National University of Singapore Centre for Maritime Law.
