Jonathan Garcia is a partner at ISOLAS LLP with a wealth of experience in the financial services, regulatory and DLT practice areas. Jonathan has advised various blockchain businesses and start-ups on everything from raising finance to obtaining regulatory authorisation for carrying out their business activities.

Jonathan participated in the Blockchain Bundesverband working group, run by the Association for the Promotion of Blockchain Technology in Germany, on token regulation and he sits on the board of the Gibraltar Funds and Investments Association (GFIA) as Head of Technical as it considers updates to legislative positions and innovative products in the crypto space.

He is a member of the Digital Chamber of Commerce and one of the founding members of thinkBlocktank, a Luxembourg based organisation that brings together some of the most respected Blockchain experts from more than 15 countries, providing policy recommendations for a proper regulated and prosperous ecosystem for digital assets.

Jonathan has co-authored a plethora of articles and chapters in high-profile industry publications, such as the U.S. Chamber of Digital Commerce’s ‘Understanding Digital Tokens: Market Overviews, and Proposed Guidelines for Policymakers and Practitioners’ and the Global Legal Insights’ Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Regulation 2022 Publication.
