Jorge Bofill has vast experience as an attorney in Dispute Resolution, including Civil and Commercial litigation and White Collar Crime matters, as well as in Internal Corporate Investigations. He has acted as lead Of Counsel in various high profile, public cases. He has also played an active role in arbitration matters with international components, including cases before the ICSID and the International Chamber of Commerce.
Jorge Bofill has extense experience acting as an advisor to the Chilean Constitution and Legislation Committee in important legislative reforms, including the Criminal Procedure Reform and Law No. 20,393, which created for the first time in Chile the statute for the criminal liability of companies in connection with the crimes of money laundering, financing of terrorism and bribery, and other related bills.
Before founding Bofill Escobar Abogados he was a partner at Bofill Mir & Álvarez Jana and at Grasty Quintana Majlis y Cía.
Jorge Bofill received his law degree (J.D. equivalent) from the Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, summa cum laude, and also a JSD, Doctoral Degree from the Friedrich- Alexander Universität, Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany, summa cum laude.
