Career

José Antonio Miguel Neto is the esteemed founder of Miguel Neto Advogados, boasting over 40 years of distinguished legal practice. He earned his law degree from the prestigious Universidade de São Paulo (USP) and furthered his expertise with specializations in Tax Law and International Law from Columbia Law School. His academic credentials also include advanced studies in Tax Planning from Coopers & Lybrand, Arbitration and Mediation from the Association of Lawyers of São Paulo, and Real Estate Procedures according to the Brazilian Civil Code from Faculdade Metropolitanas Unidas (FMU). Additionally, he has completed a specialization in Advisor Training from FIA Business School.

Mr. Miguel Neto serves on the Board of Directors for several leading Brazilian group companies, including Três Corações, Embalagens Flexíveis Diadema, Blau Farmacêutica, Movecta, Lojas Belian, and Pro Security, among others. His professional affiliations are extensive, including memberships in the Brazilian Bar Association, the Portuguese Bar Association, the International Bar Association, the Union Internationale des Avocats, and Interlegal, where he has previously held the position of chairman.

At present, he heads the firm’s Property Management and Succession Planning and Corporate Law and M&A practices, with a focus on other practice areas, such as Contracts, Corporate Disputes, Tax Advisory, Private Equity, Capital Markets, Investment Funds, and Real Estate.
