Juan Fernando is the Head of the Environment and Sustainability Practice. He joined the Firm in 2009 and has more than 13 years of experience in the area of natural resources, environment and governance areas.
He advises national and international clients on the implementation of corporate social responsibility strategies, implementation of sustainable development goals and measurement of business sustainability indexes; administrative processes and environmental litigation, as well as everything related to the maintenance of portfolios of non-renewable natural resources and energy transition. He has participated in structuring the financing of renewable energy and natural resources projects and conceptualizing business strategies to combat climate change.
He has extensive experience in consolidating natural resource portfolios, negotiating and implementing agreements with different public and private actors, and carrying out regulatory and environmental strategic consulting.
The most recent consultancies have focused on the environmental sector, renewable and non-renewable natural resources, and infrastructure, among others.

- Master’s in administrative law from the Simón Bolívar University in Quito-Ecuador
