Judith focuses on IP litigation and related strategic advice. She has appeared before the courts in a variety of matters, including cases pursuant to the Patented Medicines (Notice of Compliance) Regulations since 1993. Judith has been lead counsel in complex patent trials with cross-border implications in the pharmaceutical and aerospace sectors, as well as damages /accounting of profits assessments, copyright hearings, judicial review proceedings, data protection cases and related appellate work.

Career

Judith is Senior Consultant to Fineberg Ramamoorthy LLP since February 2021, working from Montréal. She was a senior partner at Norton Rose Fulbright Canada LLP also engaged in leadership / mentoring, including as chair of the Canadian IP practice from 2014-2019 and member of the management committee. Judith is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, a WXN Top 100 Most Powerful Woman, and a Thompson-Reuters Standout Lawyer. Ranked in Lexpert Special Edition: Litigation, Best Lawyers, Who’s Who Legal, IAM Patent 1000 and other leading directories. Judith is a regular speaker on IP matters, such as the 2021 IP webinar organized by the National Judicial Institute for the 50th Anniversary of the Federal Courts.
