Kanaan is an expert in trademark law and has advised numerous foreign multinationals in relation to government contracts in Syria. Work highlights include more than 200 trademark cases, including infringement/counterfeit court cases, trademark licensing in Syria and other Arab countries including Egypt, Iraq, Kuwait, and Bahrain. Numerous court and arbitration proceedings relating to supply and infrastructure contracts with the Syrian Government. Acting as local Syrian counsel for due diligence issues.
