Kane has a broad personal injury practice, acting for both claimants and defendants in cases involving serious and catastrophic injuries as well as fatal accidents.

Kane acts in road traffic, employers’ liability and public liability claims. He has particular experience in matters involving injured cyclists, motorcyclists and pedestrians.

Kane has a specialist interest in accidents involving e-scooters and e-bikes and has written the pre eminent law book on the subject.

His cases tend to involve brain injuries, chronic pain or complex orthopaedic injuries.

He has built a successful practice by providing practical and clear advice. He is described as ‘down to earth’ and as having ‘an excellent manner with clients’, ‘an experienced advocate with an eye for detail’ and ‘ a powerhouse in the field of personal injury’.

Kane is very effective in a team, regularly working with solicitors and Leading Counsel in Catastrophic claims.

Kane provides solicitor clients with CPD accredited seminars and webinars on a number of different topics.

Career

Kane graduated with a first-class degree before completing a master’s degree in law. Kane has practised from 18 St John Street Chambers since 2008, having completed pupillage under the supervision of Mark Laprell and Simon Kilvington KC.
