Kaspar Bastian is a tax law expert.
With many years' experience, Kaspar specialises in tax procedural issues. He renders legal advice in Danish and international disputes with the tax authorities. Kaspar conducts cases on the tax matters relating to enterprises as well as private persons, international tax law, transfer pricing, VAT, customs duties and other EU-based duties.
Kaspar's litigation experience is obvious from the considerable number of court and appeals cases on tax and duties he has conducted before the Danish courts, the Court of Justice of the European Union, the National Tax Tribunal, the Tax Council and administrative complaints authorities.
He attends to the clients' interests at all stages of a dispute with the tax authorities, from tax audits and requests for documentation to strategic issues and the conducting of complaints and court cases. Moreover, Kaspar advises on cases related to international double taxation issues, including mutual agreement procedures.
Kaspar also advises and represents clients in cases concerning criminal law issues pertaining to tax law.
Career
Kaspar is the author of several articles and a book on tax procedural issues, and he has taught at Bech-Bruun Academy.
