Practice Areas
Kendall’s antitrust and competition law practice is extensive and includes white collar investigations, civil litigation and class action defense, M&A HSR analysis and filings, and compliance program development. In the white collar arena, Kendall defends clients facing large national and international criminal antitrust investigations by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), and competition agencies from around the globe, obtaining a non-guilty verdict for two corporate clients in the only case brought to trial in the DOJ’s broad auto parts investigation. In class action and other civil litigation, Kendall has lead the defense and served as defense liaison in large antitrust MDLs and other federal and state cases. On the corporate side, Kendall advises parties and third parties concerning potential antitrust issues with proposed mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures, including in Hart-Scott-Rodino (HSR) filings before the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the DOJ.
Career
Co-chair of the Antitrust and Competition Law practice, Kendall Millard focuses on the resolution of complex antitrust, class action and other high-stakes commercial litigation. He represents multinational corporations, including Japanese companies and their U.S. subsidiaries, in criminal antitrust investigations and large commercial disputes in federal and state courts and arbitration nationwide. He also handles competition issues concerning proposed corporate mergers and acquisitions.
