Career
Kirana Sastrawijaya is a Senior Partner of UMBRA – Strategic Legal Solutions and is one of the best power lawyers in Indonesia with nearly two decades of practical experience in the fields of power, energy, construction and infrastructure. She has represented major international and local clients (including PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) and its major subsidiaries (PT Pembangkitan Jawa Bali and PT Indonesia Power) in various high-profile power and infrastructure deals (having a combined capacity of more than 5,000 MW) and has extensive experience in drafting and negotiating all type of projects documents including power purchase agreements (covering all types of PPAs for different power plants), EPC contracts, O&M contracts and fuel supply contracts.
Kirana is also well versed in renewables, oil & gas, project financing, public-private partnership scheme, mergers & acquisition in the energy and natural resources sectors, state-owned enterprises, regional-owned enterprises and has built close relationship with government institutions and international and local NGOs for the preparation of relevant regulations related to power, energy and renewables in Indonesia.
As a testament to her expertise in the field of power and renewables, she also serves as the youngest member of the Board of Experts of Masyarakat Ketenagalistrikan Indonesia (Indonesian Electricity Society) and is an active member of Masyarakat Energi Terbarukan (Indonesian Renewable Energy Society).
