Kristina has a leading EU antitrust, litigation and regulatory practice with a particular focus on big tech and life sciences.

She has previously worked in New York and Brussels as well as London, and has over two decades of experience using her advocacy skills to represent clients on antitrust investigations, mergers, challenges and complaints before the European Commission and on high-profile proceedings before the EU courts in Luxembourg.

Known for her understanding of how EU institutions work, Kristina has a strong practice focus on EU competition law enforcement issues impacting the digital single market, online selling, mobile and electronic payments and other technology. She advises numerous online marketplaces and platforms on EU antitrust matters on new digital regulations like the EU Digital Markets Act. She has a successful track record of using EU law tools such as free movement rules, litigation and infringement procedures to secure and improve market access for her clients. Kristina’s court experience includes litigating alleged antitrust violations, disputed product classifications/restrictions, market access, data protection/transparency and legal privilege issues. She also has extensive expertise in EU state aid law, particularly in relation to tax.

Kristina is an acknowledged thought leader in the antitrust field and regularly writes and speaks on antitrust issues. Among other accolades, she has been recognised in Global Competition Review’s Women in Antitrust 2021, 2016, 2013 and 2009 and as a Global Elite Thought Leader by Who’s Who Legal: Competition 2022.

In addition, in 2017, Kristina was named as a ‘Top 10 Innovator’ in Europe by the Financial Times for Court of Justice litigation using EU free movement rules to open up markets to an online pharmacy.
