Kyung Ae Yoon

Career

Kyung Ae Yoon, a patent attorney at Yulchon, is a member of Intellectual Property Practice of the firm. Her practice is focused on patent litigation, patent portfolio development and management, patent prosecution, patent strategic counseling, patent linkage, patent evaluation, licensing and technology transfer in the fields of pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, chemicals, food, polymers, cosmetics, household products and medical devices. She also advises clients on patentability, patent validity, patent infringement and trade secrets. Before joining the firm, she worked as a strategy division director at the Patent Information Promotion Center, an international business division director at the Korean Institute of Patent Information, an administrative patent judge and a solicitor at the Korean Intellectual Progerty Tribunal, a technical examiner at the Patent Court, and a director of the Pharmaceutical Chemistry Examination Division of the Korean Intellectual Property Office. In her past work experience, she dealt with numerous patent trials and patent examinations. She was admitted as a Korean Patent & Trademark attorney in 2002. She is a registered pharmacist in Korea.
