Practice Areas
Léone's principal areas of practice are energy regulatory law (comprising of electricity, natural gas, heat, CO2, LNG and hydrogen), energy transactions, large-scale energy projects, energy contracts and energy (regulatory) litigation.
Léone represents a wide spectrum of participants in the energy markets. Her clients include large (heat) supply and production companies in the regulated markets, companies in the chemical and industrial sectors, transmission and distribution system operators. She has extensive experience in solving and handling issues in the field of regulated and non-regulated (CO2, fuels, hydrogen) utilities. Léone is at her best when (together with the client team working on multidisciplinary, complex energy projects.
In addition, Léone is (co-)author of several legal journal publications on various energy law topics and lecturer on electricity and gas regulation at the Postgraduate course 'Climate change and energy transition' at the Vrije Universiteit (VU) Amsterdam. Léone also is a member of the board of the Dutch Heat network Association ‘Stichting Warmtenetwerk’.
