A specialist in family law and child arrangements, Linda is a family solicitor, collaborative lawyer, accredited family mediator (qualified to meet children within mediation), hybrid mediator, children arbitrator, and mentor to law students. Linda has extensive litigation experience and is willing to engage in judicial proceedings as and when the client journey requires it.

Career

Linda qualified as a solicitor in Scotland in 1993 and in England & Wales in 1995. She has practising certificates in both jurisdictions. After twenty years as a partner in traditional law firms, Linda was ready for a more flexible and agile approach. Linda founded LSL Family Law in 2017 in order to focus on her clients and their needs rather than on managing a large practice.

Professional Memberships

Member and accredited expert with Resolution (specialising in cohabitees and private children proceedings); accredited mediator with the Law Society; member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators as a children arbitrator. Member of BrightPOD, We Can Work It Out POD, Sussex Family Solutions (groups of Collaborative Lawyers), Lawyers Who Mediate and Family Mediators Association.

Personal

Before studying law Linda was a district nurse and midwife. Outside work, Linda enjoys skiing and spending time with her family and her yellow Labrador.
