Linnea Ljung has worked with environmental law at two of Sweden’s largest full-service law firms since receiving her LL.M. in 2007.
Linnea works with most aspects of environmental law. She is frequently retained in permit proceedings and regulatory matters within the fields of waterworks, remediation, waste, energy, mining, chemicals and manufacturing. Her clients include some of Sweden’s largest companies as well as international companies, municipalities, and governmental bodies.
Linnea is a go-to in liability matters and contractual environmental law and she regularly negotiates the environmental aspects of acquisitions, business transfers and real estate transactions that includes complex environmental aspects. Her ability to identify and manage contractual environmental risks in relation to business and property transfers as well as during exploitation of legacy sites is reputable.
Linnea has front edge experience of issues regarding contaminated areas including sediments and she is one of Sweden’s leading lawyers in this field. Linnea is chairwoman of the board of the western regional department of the nationwide organization “Nätverket Renare Mark” focusing on contaminated land issues.
Another key area for Linnea is transboundary shipment of waste. She has extensive experience working with WSR and the commercial contracts entered into in connection with such shipments.
