Lisa Haldar is an experienced litigator who serves as a trusted advisor to clients
with high-profile, highly sensitive matters that have the potential for significant
impact and require immediate strategic action, including cases involving higher
education institutions. Skilled at crisis management and drilling down to the core
issues, clients rely on Lisa to take the lead in developing an approach that
effectively addresses the situation and takes business, media, and reputational
implications into consideration.
Lisa also serves as employment outside general counsel for large companies that
do not have a designated labor and employment specialist. She provides strategic
advice and legal counsel on a real-time basis, addressing the myriad of situations
that arise during the course of daily business as well as developing and
implementing a wide range of policies, including Covid, negotiating executive
compensation, drafting termination agreements, and conducting Board
presentations and briefings.
Deeply invested in the outcomes for her clients, Lisa is known for her
straightforward delivery of what to do and what not to do. Clients rely on Lisa to
be direct and partner with their Human Resources professionals to find innovative
solutions to employment and employee relations issues that arise, including
conducting effective and sensitive internal investigations, so clients can focus on
other aspects of their business with minimal disruption.
A talented trial lawyer, Lisa represents and defends clients at all stages of
litigation in both state and federal court. As a former judicial staff attorney at the
Georgia Court of Appeals and an accomplished litigator, Lisa has deep knowledge
of the appellate practice and the ability to lay the foundation for an appeal at the
trial level. Her unremitting research skills, mastery of legal writing, and attention
to detail have proven pivotal in narrowing issues in a case and achieving positive
results for her clients.
