Practice Areas
Lissi Andersen Roost specialises in transport and freight forwarding law, including the regulation of multimodal transports. Lissi’s thorough knowledge of the regulation and the practical execution of national and international transports is based on i.a. a legal PhD degree in transport law and her upbringing in Padborg, the freight forwarding hub of Denmark where she experienced freight forwarding and transport firsthand every day.
Lissi provides advice on all aspects of this practice area, and she also draws up transport and logistics contracts and provides courses in transport and freight forwarding law. Moreover, Lissi advises on issues of insurance and tort law relating to the international transport of goods from the perspectives of both goods and transport operators, and she regularly conducts legal proceedings related to transport damage before the Danish courts, including the Maritime and Commercial Court in Copenhagen.
Lissi is also an expert on the purchase and sale of goods. Within this practice area, she assists in the drafting and negotiation of often multi-annual agreements on goods deliveries where, in addition to the commercial terms such as price and quantity, focus is on liability for delays in delivery, defects, product liability, transfer of title/credit protection and choice of the relevant delivery clause in light of the parties’ respective insurance cover.
In addition to preparing terms and conditions of purchasing, sales and delivery, Lissi also organises courses in Incoterms® and standard conditions such as Orgalim and NL/NLM (General Conditions for the Supply (and Erection) of Machinery and other Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic Equipment).
