Career
Manuel is the partner in charge of the firm's operations in El Salvador, with more than 25 years of legal practice and solid experience in establishing and managing law firms. He founded Telles & Asociados in 2015, which later merged in 2017 with Mayora & Mayora in Guatemala and Honduras, becoming one integrated firm in all three jurisdictions.
Manuel was a founding partner for 12 years of a relevant regional law firm, and also served as a partner for two years in an important law firm in El Salvador. He has provided legal advice to national and foreign banks and financial institutions, as well as to different companies, on their capital raising structuring such as individual and/or syndicated loans, securitizations, international issues 144A/Reg.
S, bond issuances, investment funds, leasing, and project financing. He has participated in multiple mergers and acquisitions, as well as in the creation, incorporation and operations of companies in El Salvador.
His specialization is in financial, banking fiduciary, and corporate advice, serving recognized clients such as: Banco General, S.A., Banco Internacional de Costa Rica (BICSA), Credit Suisse, JPMorgan-Chase & Co. Mobile Cash/Millicon, NEOEN, Grupo Terra, Laboratorios Vijosa, Crowley and OTIS.
