Marie-France is a partner in the Tax, Tax Disputes and Investigations and White Collar Defence practices at Davies in Montréal. She assists Canadian and international clients in avoiding, navigating and resolving complex tax disputes with both provincial and federal tax authorities. Her clients, which includes corporations and high-net-worth individuals such as athletes and entertainers, rely on her expertise throughout the entire tax dispute process—from audits to appeals and trials. A strategic and skilled litigator, Marie-France has a robust track record of representing clients at all judicial levels. Her prior experience includes serving as counsel with the Department of Justice, where she represented the Canada Revenue Agency in tax appeals, and working as a Crown prosecutor focusing on proceeds of crime and tax fraud. She also articled as a judicial law clerk at the Tax Court of Canada (TCC). Before joining Davies, Marie-France served as counsel with the Department of Justice, representing the Canada Revenue Agency in tax appeals, and as a Crown prosecutor focusing on the proceeds of crime and tax fraud. Marie-France articled as a judicial law clerk at the Tax Court of Canada. She is an actively involved in the legal community. Additionally, she teaches at the University of Montréal's Master in Taxation program.
