Rob is a partner advising clients on a broad range of transactions with an emphasis on public and private offerings of equity, debt securities and structured products in the cross-border context. Rob also advises clients on joint ventures, asset acquisitions and divestitures, equity monetizations, corporate governance and the operation of marketplaces. Known for his expertise in securities law, Rob is regularly consulted by public companies—including mining and oil & gas companies—on disclosure issues and general commercial matters. He frequently acts for issuers and underwriters in major cross-border transactions and advises major US investment banks and investors on securities law compliance issues surrounding Canadian transactions. Rob is an adjunct professor at Osgoode Hall Law School, where he teaches the securities law section of the Advanced Business Law Workshop. He is also a former member of the OSC’s Continuous Disclosure Advisory Committee and Small Business Advisory Committee.
