Mario assists as a general advisor, specialising in complex legal, corporate, and regulatory issues. He manages commercial, M&A, and financing transactions for domestic and international parties, including project acquisition, development, and financing in the automotive, manufacturing, real state, energy and public finance sectors, as well as in complex negotiations before federal, state and municipal authorities. His practice is known for innovative solutions and representation of major national and international clients in Mexico.
Career
Mario joined Santos Elizondo in 1998 and has been a partner since 2009.

Mario has participated as a member of the board of directors of several charities such as EFFETA, COMUNIDAR and the AFP (Association of Fundraising Professionals), as well as organisations such as Coparmex, Club Harvard de Monterrey and Club Rotario Monterrey Metropolitano.
Personal
Mario has a law degree (1997) from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey and holds an LL.M (2002) with emphasis in international and corporate matters from Harvard Law School in Cambridge, MA. Additionally, he has completed several refresher courses in commercial, administrative, banking, securities and financial matters.
