Mark’s patent litigation practice covers numerous, diverse technologies including: electronics and semiconductors; telecommunications/wireless and network; medical devices; LED technology; computer technologies; pharmaceutical and drug delivery devices; genetically modified organisms and plants; electronic payment systems (e.g., ATM functionality, credit card processing and marketing technologies, QR code technology, hardware/infrastructure, and cryptography); soft drink bottling technology; bitcoin mining and power control; manufacturing technologies; cosmetics and chemical compounds. Mark also litigates ANDA cases, as well as copyright, trademark, trade secret, and other technology-related disputes. In addition, Mark serves as diligence counsel for several litigation funders. Prior to law school, Mark was the Director of a Genetics laboratory in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Career
In his 25+ year patent litigation career, Mark has appeared in more than 100 patent cases nationwide, serving as lead counsel in over 50 cases. He has tried jury cases, bench trials (both in the district court and in the ITC), argues inter partes reviews, and argued appeals before the Federal Circuit.
