Career

I'm a partner in our Danish International Tech & Comms Group. I'm widely regarded as one of Denmark's leading IT lawyers, combining solid legal skills, innovative thought leadership and real strategic IT industry expertise.

I've spent around 20 years advising Danish and international organisations, including major blue-chips, across the full spectrum of IT-related legal and commercial matters. I've gained a reputation as a pioneer in all legal aspects of online technology solutions (ecommerce, internet and web services), cyber and IT security, open source and open data, and other open licence forms such as Creative Commons.

A lot of my work is in emergent areas and industries such as 3D printing, robotics, smart networks and smart cities, wearable tech, IoT, fintech, and Bitcoin and blockchain technologies.

I also advise technology start-ups and SMEs in the IT and media sectors on fundraising, M&A and transactions, corporate matters and more general commercial contracts. I offer integrated advice, combining commercial understanding, technological insight and legal expertise.

I'm a co-founder of the Danish E-commerce Association (FDIH), Internet Society DK, Creative Commons DK, the Danish Open Source Vendors Association and Danish Entrepreneurs Association, Quantified Self DK, OpenDenmark, HyperLedger and the Ethereum/Web3 Copenhagen meetups and the tech start-up community CPHFTW.

I'm a certified IT attorney (certified by the Association of Danish IT Attorneys), and I've been admitted to the Danish High Court.

I co-authored the first thesis on Danish Internet Law, and I'm a frequent speaker at conferences on IT law, tech startups, blockchain tech, ecommerce and open source and Creative Commons.

I speak Danish and English, and understand the other Scandinavian languages.
