Head of the firm’s Healthcare team, Mary specialises in professional indemnity defence litigation, in particular the defence of clinical negligence claims. She leads a team of healthcare solicitors who are expert in the defence of clinical negligence claims, product liability and repercussive claims and the representation of doctors and allied health professionals before their regulatory bodies.
She is a leading practitioner in clinical negligence and leads one of Ireland’s largest healthcare teams. She has extensive experience in cerebral palsy and high value catastrophic injury claims and particular expertise in cases involving PPOs. Mary has over 25 years’ experience in civil litigation, acting for insurance companies and indemnifiers.
She is an experienced advocate, frequently representing healthcare professionals in the coroners’ courts. Mary advises healthcare professionals and charities on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious medico-legal issues and is a CEDR accredited mediator.
