Mathieu joined Greenille in 2011 as partner. In 2014, Greenille integrated with Deloitte Legal (formerly Laga). The Greenille Private Client Team is a dedicated group of more than 30 lawyers and experts, working for high net worth individuals and entrepreneurial families. They all have their very unique focus: tax and legal advisory, family and business dynamics and/or conflict handling. With an unique focus integrated approach and experience the team offers integrated and holistic services. Mathieu has been head of the team since 2017.

He started his career Dauginet & Co in 2002 before joining Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in 2006, where he gained expertise and recognition as a specialised tax lawyer with a particular interest in private wealth and family businesses.

Mathieu advises and helps families to protect, structure and manage wealth and businesses, a.o. through effective tax strategies and risk management. His particular center of interest lies in the structuring of private (art) collections, yachts and charitable giving.

Apart from being a Brussels and Antwerp bar registered lawyer, Mathieu is also member of the Society of Estate and Trust Practitioners (STEP Benelux), the International Fiscal Association (IFA) and the Belgian Association of Tax lawyers (BATL).
