Work Highlights

Some of Meliza’s most renowned work include the PETREX defence in a highly complex labour process filed by a former manager who attempted to claim more than 3 million dollars, managing to avoid the freezing of all his bank accounts, the seizure of assets and the seizure of senior managers of the Company.

Another noteworthy case is the 100% success result for Repsol in a highly complex and delicate labour dispute filed by a former worker who claimed the payment of extra-legal bonuses. Likewise, the Glass-Lux case generated favourable and successful rulings in sponsorship in constitutional and judicial actions, with 0% contingency for the company, due to the fact that it was possible to avoid the execution of reinstatement of more than 160 former workers plus the payment of salaries earned by more of 3 years in exorbitant amounts, achieving rulings from the Plurinational Constitutional Court.

Both these cases later served as jurisprudential precedents at the national level for similar cases of reincorporation for other companies.

Meliza has also been involved in the defence of several enterprises in cases involving highly complex and delicate labour-related litigations that range from retroactive social benefits and fines to multiple simultaneous wage and social benefits related demands against corporations and companies like La Paz financial entity, Huawei, Corteva, Bureau Veritas, Rolón, Nestlé and, SOLUR.
