Merete specializes in Project Development and has more than 30 years of experience as a lawyer, of which 20 years as a partner in both one of Denmark's largest offices (Gorrissen Federspiel – 10 years) and a specialist office (Nielsen Thomsen 10 years).
In addition to her legal career, Merete has been an external lecturer at the University of Copenhagen for 18 years (1992-2010) in 2 subjects within her area of practice, Financing Law and Property Law. Merete teaches and speaks at conferences on topics related to her area of practice. Merete has also been appointed by the Danish Bar and Law Society as a specialist in pre-legislative work.
Throughout her career, Merete has dealt with all elements of advice related to the development of real estate, including transactions, corporate structuring, planning, lease law, serial sales, construction law, etc.
Merete has set a goal to integrate the principles of People, Profit, Planet in her practice dealing with large project developments and real estate. Thus, Merete is setting goals for a more sustainable way of handling legal advice focusing on creating value for the clients while complying with goals of diversity, flexibility and sustainability.
