Mike Terry handles complex trial and appellate matters. He was on the plaintiffs’ trial teams for the two largest verdicts in Georgia history. He has been on the winning side on appeal for the largest verdict in Georgia ever reversed, and the largest verdict in Georgia ever affirmed on appeal.

In July 2023, Terry was one of three finalists for national “Trial Lawyer of the Year,” awarded by Public Justice in conjunction with the American Association for Justice's annual meeting.

Terry was recognized as the Lawyer of the Year for Georgia (2021) by American Lawyer Media and by the Fulton County Daily Report. Terry was a finalist for that award in 2017.

Terry has been recognized as a Georgia “Lawyer of the Year” by Best Lawyers five times, in three subject matter areas (Appellate Litigation, Antitrust Litigation and Banking Litigation). Two of those awards were for trial court work, and three for appellate cases. He was a Top 10 Georgia “Super Lawyer" in 2023 and 2024, and has been a Top 100 Georgia "Super Lawyer" 15 times.

Terry is a frequent lecturer and author on business litigation topics including class actions, punitive damages and appellate issues. He is also often asked to moderate debates and panel discussions involving judges, particularly in the area of professionalism.
