Mike Hooker has spent more than three decades representing clients in "high stakes" commercial litigation matters. Describing himself as "relentlessly detail-oriented," Mike is quick to master technical areas of law and business, and he excels in extracting companies from seemingly intractable legal problems. A court-certified arbitrator for Florida's Sixth, Twelfth and Thirteenth Judicial Circuits and a certified mediator of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida in all divisions, Mike applies his negotiation skills to finding effective solutions for both parties.

Mike has successfully defended more than 25 class action lawsuits, either by avoiding certification of the class or by negotiating favorable pretrial settlements. In recent years, Mike devotes considerable attention to cybersecurity, privacy laws and electronic discovery matters. He works with clients to develop strategies for electronic data organization, retention and collection - both before and during litigation - so they are prepared to actively avoid, pursue or defend disputes in the most efficient way possible. Additionally, he assists clients in managing the security and privacy of their data.
