J. Michael Tecson has developed a diverse practice representing clients in transactional and litigation matters. His experience provides a unique perspective when counseling clients.

In transactional matters, Michael represents public and private colleges and universities, non-profit and for-profit higher educational institutions, K-12 schools, early childhood educational institutions, and educational investors in mergers, sales and acquisitions and related educational regulatory matters. He also represents physician practices and physicians in mergers, sales and acquisitions of medical practices, ambulatory surgery centers and health care regulatory matters.

As outside counsel, Mr. Tecson advises his clients on contracting, corporate governance, real estate, and employment and human resource issues. He advises employers and employees on negotiation of non-competition and restrictive covenant provisions in employment agreements.

In litigation, Mr. Tecson represents clients in various matters, including enforcement and breach of restrictive covenants, employment discrimination, civil rights violations, insurance coverage disputes, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, and other commercial disputes.

Mr. Tecson also serves as a Hearing Officer for the Illinois State Board of Elections.
