Michael Will is the Co-CEO and founder of ESILAB and has overall responsibility for defining and executing the company’s strategy. With a background in both law and technology, Michael has practiced as a litigator (Clifford Chance, Lloyd's of London and Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan) and transactional lawyer (Allen & Overy).

Prior to establishing ESILAB, Michael was the founding partner of two successful LegalTech start-up ventures (aoSphere (est. 2002) and docGenix (est. 2008)) each of which was funded by leading international law firm Allen & Overy. Both aoSphere and docGenix were classified as "stand-out" innovations at the FT Innovative Lawyers Awards in 2002 and 2008 respectively.

Michael is a former member of the CFTC’s Data Standardization sub-committee and has advised the SEC, CFTC, and U.S. Treasury on matters pertaining to the machine readability of legal agreements. He is also a former co-chair and member of the FpML Standard CSA Working Group.

For consecutive years Michael has been ranked by Chambers as one of the leading Litigation Support E-Discovery professionals in the United States. Michael's current Chambers ranking is in Band 2.
