Mostafa is a legal director at DAPES. He is a dual qualified (civil law/common law) bilingual disputes resolution lawyer. He has been practising law for around 15 years, five of which have been in Saudi Arabia.
Mostafa advises and represents clients in disputes before local courts and arbitral tribunals. He also advises clients on all forms of commercial and construction disputes management in addition to handling financial crime cases and internal investigations.
Before joining DAPES, Mostafa had eight years’ experience working as a prosecutor in the Egyptian judiciary at the Financial Crimes Prosecution Office. He also previously worked in an international law firm in Cairo (as a lawyer specializing in corporate and commercial law) as well as in the legal department of the regional headquarters of one of the largest American pharmaceutical companies in Cairo.
During his work at the Egyptian Public Prosecution, Mostafa handled thousands of financial crime cases, including bribery, embezzlement and illicit profiting out of public roles. He also investigated many high profile corruption cases involving former ministers, the assistant prime minister and the president of an Egyptian university.
Mostafa has an LLB from Ain Shams University, an LLM from Indiana University (focusing on international arbitration) and a criminal law diploma from Ain Shams University. He is admitted to the Egyptian Bar (licensed to practice before the Egyptian Courts of Appeal) and is also a qualified solicitor in England and Wales.
Mostafa is fluent in Arabic and English.
