Career

Mr. Getlan's practice focuses on international trade and investment disputes and import/export compliance and enforcement matters. Mr. Getlan has significant experience litigating antidumping, countervailing duty, and safeguard disputes before US and foreign administrative agencies, US courts, and dispute settlement panels convened under the World Trade Organization (WTO) and other trade agreements. In both trade regulation and litigation, Mr. Getlan has represented multinational corporations and trade associations in a variety of industries, including agriculture, consumer products, metals, energy, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, electronics, and wood products.

Mr. Getlan also advises clients in customs, export controls and economic sanctions matters. Mr. Getlan assists clients with the development and implementation of compliance programs, import and export audits, disclosures, and government investigations.

Mr. Getlan has been named to the U.S. roster of panelists for U.S.-Mexico-Canada (USMCA) disputes and serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law teaching International Trade Law & Regulation.
