Barrister of the Year at Modern Law wards 2020. Named as the busiest female Employment Barrister at the EAT for 2018-2021 by Lawyer Monthly. She was shortlisted in the International Employment Law Awards 2023.
Contributing Editor to Lexis Nexis Tolleys' Employment Law Handbook. She has a postgraduate diploma in Psychology and the Neuroscience of Mental Health from the eminent Psychiatry department of Kings College London and will complete a PG certificate in International commercial and corporate law (distinction in Corporate law). In 2025 She will be an CEDR accredited Mediator.
She obtained some of the highest remedy/ settlements and is set to appear in the EAT in complex appeals. She has acted for individuals and in large group claims of both redundancy and TUPE claims. She recently used her knowledge of Islamic law to advise and negotiate sharia compliant pensions for Uber drivers and further advised on ESG compliant pensions.
She obtained workers rights for 300 mini cab drivers working in the GIG economy. She has advised/ represented in the last year a wide spectrum of clients from large institutions to individuals, including Directors, Professors, Bankers and various Artists.
She has appeared on BBC News BBC World News, other TV shows and many radio talk shows (including Mim Sheikh’s BBC Asian show). She mentors student Barristers.
