Nathan leads the Firm's State Taxes and stamp duty practice. He is a leading advisor on complex real-estate transactions, specialising in transaction structuring, and also on State Tax issues (stamp duty and land tax) across the country for other sectors (including M&A, financial services and mining & resources).

Nathan has expertise in providing commercial and financial structuring advice for real estate transactions and cover all taxation issues related to property development structures, joint ventures, in-bound real estate investment and establishing real estate trusts.

Nathan is recognised in leading directory Chambers Global as “one of the best stamp duty lawyers in Australia” and is consistently recognised as a leading lawyer in Chamber Asia Pacific and Best Lawyers: Australia. He is recognised as a property industry expert, primarily through his involvement in the Property Council of Australia, where he Chairs two tax committees, is on the Build to Rent Roundtable and the tax committee for the Retirement Living Council, and is on the NSW Division Council.

Between 2017 and 2021, he held the position of office managing partner, Sydney.
