Career
Nicolás Atkinson is the leading member of the Energy and Natural Resources Group of recently formed ACU Abogados.
His clients include utilities, investors, and project developers in the energy industry. He focusses on project development (waste to energy, wind, solar, storage, decentralized supply models), energy contract law, regulatory and energy trading. Nicolás also shows strength in M&A transactions and financing projects in the energy sector.
Nicolás has also worked in the development and implementation of juridical strategies for several agents in the electric industry; in the negotiation and extension of electrical supply contracts; construction contracts for generation and transmission facilities. He has also participated in the financing and project finance of several generation projects.
Nicolás Atkinson permanently represents his clients before the Electric Law’s Expert Panel (specialized arbitration court for energy conflicts in Chile), being one of the lawyers in Chile with more experience on this regard.
