Nonnabhat (Niab) Paiboon has a deep experience advising Thai and international clients on complex domestic and multi-jurisdiction cross border M&A transactions in a wide range of sectors, such as financial institutions, consumer, energy, TMT, food and beverage, and automotive. She has substantial experience in structuring and negotiating cross-border transactions as well as the acquisition and divestiture of corporate divisions. Niab has always been involved in one of a kind merger & acquisition deals that has occurred within the country, while some became the largest sector deal in Southeast Asia. She is a highly regarded lawyer within competition and anti-trust and has been invited by the relevant authorities to be a consultant on the proposed Thai competition law. Additionally, Nonnabhat often plays key roles in multi-jurisdictional M&A transactions involving various offices of the Herbert Smith Freehills network.

Niab holds a bachelor's degree in law and international law from Chulalongkorn University. She also has a graduate diploma in law and postgraduate diploma from the University of Law and BPP University in the United Kingdom respectively. She is native in Thai, fluent in English and is dual qualified in Thailand and England & Wales.
