Career
Dr. Ophir Nave is a Lead Partner at the Corporate and M&A Practice at Arnon, Tadmor-Levy and a member of the Executive Committee of the firm.
Ophir is consistently ranked as one of the top M&A lawyers in Israel by the leading international ranking agencies, listed in the Israeli M&A Leading Individuals List by Legal500, ranked in the prestigious Chambers & Partners, and is highly recommended by IFLR1000.
Ophir is regularly involved in some of the largest and most complicated M&A transactions in Israel. A few recent notable examples, among many others, include: the representation of Leumi Card, Israel’s second-largest credit card company, in its ILS 2.5 billion sale to the U.S. private equity firm Warburg Pincus (finance); Israel Chemicals in the USD 1 billion sale of its fire safety business to the U.S. private equity firm SK Capital (chemicals); Baby TV channel in its sale to Fox Networks (entertainment); PMC Sierra in its acquisition of Wintegra, the largest sale of an Israeli hi-tech company in that year (technology); K.M.M Recycling Industries in its sale to GES – Global Environmental Solutions (industrial); and First Digital Assets in its sale to Fireblocks (crypto). He also represented the leading U.S. venture capital firm General Atlantic in its investments of hundreds of millions of U.S. dollars in Riskified, Appsflyer, Zoomin, Atera, and HiBob (technology).
Ophir is also highly recognized as one of the leading Israeli M&A lawyers in the defense sector. Key clients in this sector include: Rafael Advanced Defense Systems – Israel’s leading defense company; Israel Aerospace Industries, one of the largest companies in Israel and a world leader in the aerospace industry; Israel Weapon Industries – a world leader in the weapons industry; Israel Shipyards – Israel’s leading shipbuilding company; the Government of Rwanda; DSIT – a world leader in underwater security systems, sonar and acoustics; DP World – the owner of the Dubai port, one of the largest ports in the world; Physical Logic – a leading developer of advanced MEMS accelerometers; and Camero – a leading Israeli homeland security technology company.
Furthermore, Ophir has represented some of the largest international private equity and venture capital firms in their M&A activities and investments in Israel, including, among many others, General Atlantic, Blackstone, and Apollo.
Ophir spent five years as a corporate attorney with the New York law firm of Wachtell Lipton Rosen & Katz (WLRK), and he is a graduate of Harvard Law School (Doctor of Juridical Science), Tel Aviv University (LL.B., First in Class), and the Technion (B.Sc. in Computer Engineering, First in Class).
Ophir clerked for Justice Theodor Or of the Israeli Supreme Court and has been the recipient of various prizes and scholarships, including the Wolf Foundation Prize, the John M. Olin Fellowship, the E. David Fischman Scholarship, the Tel Aviv University Academic Excellence Scholarship, and the Technion Presidential Prize.
Ophir also served as the Editor of the Tel Aviv University Law Review, lectured at Harvard Law School and Tel Aviv University on corporate law and corporate finance matters, and published articles on corporate matters in leading legal journals in the United States.
