Career
Oscar Trelles heads the Cuatrecasas M&A Practice in Latin America and coordinates the Private Equity Practice in the Lima office. He also specializes in financing and project finance. He has participated in some of the most sophisticated and important national and international transactions, including multijurisdictional transactions, in recent years.
Before joining Cuatrecasas, he worked in different international law firms in Lima and New York, including Curtis, Mallet - Prevost, Colt & Mosle and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, where he participated in complex multijurisdictional transactions.

He lectures on M&A and project finance in the Master of Laws at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and in the International Financial Management Program at Universidad de Piura.
Work Highlights
Recently, he has advised:
• Grupo Verme, on the groundbreaking acquisition of Clinica Ricardo Palma, a complex transaction that included (i) the acquisition from Quirónsalud; (ii) the negotiation of a waiver with Holding Médicos (the other minority shareholder); and (iii) the negotiation of a shareholders agreement between the acquiring parties.
• Yinson Renewables, (i) on acquiring 6% of the shares of Majes Sol de Verano, which has taken its shareholding to a controlling 51% stake; and (ii) on the USD 90 million acquisition from Grenergy, of 100% of the shares of GR Cortarrama, owner of the 80 MW "Matarani Solar Photovoltaic Plant" project.
