Practice Areas
Specialist in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and banking and finance, having participated in many landmark transactions in the Chilean market. He has participated in designing, negotiating and implementing complex deals in many sectors of the economy, such as commerce, energy, finance, fishing, food and beverages, industry, infrastructure, mining, services, and telecommunications.
Before joining Cuatrecasas, he worked as a foreign associate at US law firm Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in New York.
Career
He is a professor of the School of Law at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (“the PUC”), where he has lectured on commercial law since 1995. From 2010 to 2015, he served as the dean of the PUC School of Law, after having served as vice dean, and previously as director of studies of the Master in Business Law.
Professional Memberships
He is a member of the Chilean National Television Council and a former member of the country’s Council for Transparency. Both are autonomous and constitutional bodies that safeguard aspects of public interest, including transparency in public service, access to information and the correct functioning of television services.

Guerrero Olivos represented CGE in a USD350 million bond offering and registration with local regulator and in the placement of one of the lines in the financial market.
