Pablo J. Torretta is a partner at Beccar Varela, having joined the firm in 2001. He co-heads the firm’s Banking and Financial Institutions and Fintech Departments.

Pablo obtained his Law degree from Universidad de Buenos Aires (1995) and his Master’s Degree in Banking Management from the Universidad del CEMA, Argentina (1998). Prior to joining Beccar Varela, he worked in the legal department of Banco Santander Río, Buenos Aires, Argentina (1998-2001).

IFC grants US$25 million financing to Pantaleon Group’s Monte Rosa sugar mill
On April 9th, 2021, IFC and the Pantaleon Group’s Nicaraguan subsidiary, Monte Rosa S.A., signed an agreement by means of which IFC granted the company a US$15 million revolving credit facility and a US$10 million long-term A-Loan. In this matter, Beccar Varela acted as inter-jurisdictional counsel.
Advent International acquires majority stake in Prisma Medios de Pago
The acquisition of 51% of Prisma Medios de Pago S.A. shares by Advent International was closed on February 1st., 2019. Prisma is the leading Argentine company in electronic payments, licensee of the VISA brand and owner of Banelco, Todo Pago, LaPos and Pago mis cuentas.
