Career

Pamela D. Hans, the managing shareholder of the firm's Philadelphia office, concentrates her practice in insurance recovery. Her clients include Fortune 500 Companies, energy and mining companies, construction companies, private schools, religious organizations, commercial lenders, and other policyholders whom she has represented in disputes with their insurance companies.

In addition to her law degree, Pam holds Bachelor and Master of Science Degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Manitoba. The focus of these degrees was the energy industry, particularly hydroelectric dams and their environmental impacts, as well as performance testing and protocols to measure and improve the efficiency of generation.

Pam combines her technical expertise with legal training to advise clients in the mining and energy, chemical, and food additives industries. She also represents heath care providers, independent schools and religious organizations, helping them obtain insurance coverage for claims arising out of sexual abuse – and, more recently, claims arising from the COVID-19 pandemic, as illustrated in the matters described below.

Pam is actively involved in Anderson Kill's cyber insurance recovery group, where she focuses on the telecommunications industry, data breaches and quantum computing insurance risks.
