Paul is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa, an associate member of the Association of Arbitrators and has had a number of articles published in the fields of mining, construction and engineering law. He also presents training courses and is a regular speaker on the issues relating to his chosen fields of specialisation.
Paul advises clients on all aspects of standard form construction, mining and engineering contracts (such as FIDIC, NEC, GCC and JBCC agreements), offering strategic risk management advice across a wide spectrum of projects, with a focus on large complex projects. Paul also assists clients with the drafting of bespoke contracts for projects which have unique risk profiles.
In addition to strategic aspects of project and risk management, Paul conducts litigation on behalf of both contractors and employers, and prides himself on offering value-driven solutions in the complex arena of dispute resolution at exceptional service levels. Paul specialises complex claims requiring the integration and management of multi-disciplinary experts, and regularly acts for clients on matters where claim values are in the billions of Rands.
