Peter Gioello

Practice Areas

Peter Gioello is Counsel in Arnold & Porter’s Environmental practice group, and focuses on both ESG and environmental, health, and safety (EHS) risks, issues, and liabilities. He counsels clients on emerging ESG issues such as sustainability reporting and disclosure, ESG due diligence, environmental justice, climate change mitigation and adaptation, product stewardship, and supply-chain audits, among other issues. He also focuses on traditional environmental, health, and safety issues, and risks and liabilities as they arise in and relate to major transactions, especially mergers and acquisitions and financing transactions. In 2022, he earned a Certificate in Sustainable Capitalism and ESG from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law.
