Practice Areas
Pooja leads the firm's Restructuring & Insolvency practice group, which includes advising clients on restructuring, both within and outside the Insolvency &Bankruptcy Code, 2016.
Pooja represents both creditors and debtors in insolvency proceedings and routinely advises resolution professionals and liquidators of a number of companies. She also actively advises on investment in distressed assets. Pooja routinely appears and argues before Indian bankruptcy tribunals such as the NCLT and NCLAT as well as the Supreme Court of India in various insolvency and liquidation proceedings.
Professional Memberships
Pooja is an active member of INSOL and the International Bar Association and a part of IWIRC (International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation) Asia leadership group. She was also the Council Co-Chair at the ASSOCHAM National Council for Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code and Valuation. Pooja works closely with the World Bank on various projects in the Indian restructuring and insolvency space and was part of the World Bank’s 2019 Task Force for MSME Insolvency and 2022 Taskforce for Insolvency & Creditor/Debtor Regimes as India’s representative.
