Qiang Xue

Career

Dr. Qiang Xue was one of the first antitrust lawyers in China and was involved in drafting the Anti-Monopoly Law of 2007 when working in China’s antitrust enforcement agency. He also has good insights into antitrust laws of other major jurisdictions based on his secondment with EU’s and UK’s antitrust regulators and on-the-ground experience in Jones Day’s Washington D.C. office. Qiang represents clients in all aspects of antitrust law, including government investigations, merger reviews, and private litigations. His recent experience includes advising global industry leaders in high-value transactions and high-profile investigations in the health care, semiconductor, transportation, digital, automobile, and banking industries. In addition to his extensive experience regarding China Anti-Monopoly Law, Qiang regularly advises Chinese companies on overseas antitrust and government regulation matters, especially antitrust investigations in other key jurisdictions. He recently assisted a major Chinese financial institution in a matter relating to a large scale U.S. government investigation and represented a leading Chinese transportation company in defending a U.S. antitrust investigation.
