Rachel Shenton has acquired a reputation as a powerful and persuasive jury advocate. She has a broad criminal practice with particular emphasis on murder, violence and serious sexual offences, including rape, historic abuse and “grooming gangs.”

Rachel is known for her skill in dealing with cases of a sensitive nature, often involving vulnerable witnesses and defendants, her client care is exemplary and she is widely known for her hard work and attention to detail.

Rachel has a charming, effective manner in front of a jury and is devastating in cross-examination. She has an approachable and down-to-earth manner, but with a reputation as a formidable opponent.

In addition to a busy legal aid practice, Rachel is also regularly sort out by private paying clients, particularly those facing allegations of serious sexual assault.

Rachel is also an experienced category 4 RASSO prosecutor and is frequently instructed by the CPS in cases of murder, violence, firearms and rape.
